If I am where I am today, is because of my sisters, women in the past that opened the way so that I could travel alone, could have a voice, an education, follow a path that feels true to me. Where I can be an ocean, be calm and be storm. They have been a world here the wild women can roam, where birds can fly off their cages, even though there’s still a long way to go.

My mother could have asked me to go, but instead she just wished me good luck and said that she’d always have a room for me. My sister, showing a little bit more weariness, still asks me to come back, but knows that I’m following my path and our love, understanding and respect, goes beyond word.

I want the gratitude that I feel, to reach the heart of every women and men, so that the world can keep opening the ways so that many more sisters can be authentic, and love.
